CANTON, Mich.--Adrian College recently competed in its first two American-Heartland Intercollegiate Bowling Conference Tournaments of the 2015-16 season here at Super Bowl.
In the first conference tournament of the year, it was a tough pattern for the Bulldogs but the team showed signs of improvement throughout the day. Sophomore Dylin Hunter placed 14th overall by averaging 211 pins over five games. As a team, the Bulldogs finished in 12th place out of 21 schools.
In the AHIBC #2, Adrian continued to show signs of progressive improvement over the entire day, with senior Clay Kirner and Hunter leading the way. Hunter finished with a 211 average over four games and Kirner posted a 192 average. The team finished 12th out of 19 teams.
"Overall, I was very happy with how the team responded under new leadership in their first two tournaments," stated first-year head coach John Essenmacher III. "I know we will get better, and the team does too. We are improving every day and learning every day, and that is what we need to do."
The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday when they host the Adrian College Open, their home opener. The next conference events are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 30-31, in Wickliffe, Ohio.
