ANGOLA, Ind. – The Adrian College track and field team competed at the MIAA Indoor Championships host by Trine University. The Adrian men's team finished fifth as a team with 65.50 points. The Adrian women's team finished third overall, scoring 99 points.
Jordan Davis was the only member of the men's team to have a first place finish on the day. Davis won the 60 meter hurdle finals with a time of 8.36, he improved upon his school record in the preliminaries with a time of 8.34.
The men had six third place finishes; Scott Campbell finished the high jump with a 1.85 meter height, Jordan Simon finished the shot put with a throw of 14.30 meters, Randy Fry (60 meter dash and 200 meter run) with times of 7.02 and 22.62, Josh Pasco-Davison placed in the 400 meter dash with a time of 51.73 and the final two third place finishes were by the Distance Medley and 4 x 400 Relay team.
Rachel Dolphin had two first place individual finishes in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.96 and the 200 meter run with a time of 26.43, a new school record in that event.
Smith had a second place finish in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.25 seconds (a new school record), Modes placed third in the women's long jump event with a best jump of 5.28 meters (a new school record) and Reiff also finished third in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:01.56.
