ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian All-American Invite featured many top-finishes as the Bulldogs had fair weather for the lone home meet of the season. The men and women combined for a total of eight first-place finishes on the day in the non-scoring meet.
On the men's side, junior Chad Allemon led the way, running to a first place finish in the 200m dash and 400m dash. Allemon finished the 200m in 22.63 seconds, while beating everyone in the 400m at 48.91.
Junior Aaron Wielfaert also had a nice day for the men, picking up a first place in the high jump, while finishing second in the 400m hurdles. Wielfaert cleared six feet, six inches in the high jump, while running the hurdles in 55.71 seconds.
For the women, senior Kelsea Sellers put together another nice meet, finishing first in three races, winning the 100m, 200m, and 400m races. Sellers ran the 100m in 12.68, the 200m in 25.79, and the 400m in 1:00.03.
Sophomore Senneca Scott had another strong performance in the meet, just a week after being honored as the MIAA Women's Track Athlete of the Week. Scott was a winner in the 100m hurdles at 15.29 seconds.
The Bulldogs got another first place performance in the field, as senior Megan Meier won the shot put. Meier launched the shot 39 feet, six inches, on her way to the victory.
Adrian will compete again next weekend, as the men and women will head to the MIAA Jamboree, hosted at Albion College. The meet is scheduled to start at 10:00 am.
