ADRIAN, Mich. - Senior Kelsea Sellers added another accomplishment to her already impressive Track and Field resume, earning MIAA Track Athlete of the Week for Week 3 of the season. In the one meet Sellers competed in, she broke two individual school records and was a part of a record breaking relay team.
Sellers, (Montpelier, Ohio/North Central) and the Adrian Bulldogs traveled to the Indiana Wesleyan Polar Bear Invite on March 24, where a record breaking day began. Sellers took first place in the 100m dash in a time of 12.25 seconds, which broke her own 100m record.
In the 200m dash, Sellers took second place, again setting a school record in 25.74 seconds. After this, Sellers along with Jazmyne Curry, Kristen Langerman, and Natalie Miller went on to set another school record in the 4x100m relay in 49.64 seconds. This was good enough for second place in the event.
After the first outdoor meet for Adrian, Sellers leads the MIAA in both the 100m dash, 200m dash, and the 4x100 relay. Sellers is currently ranked 7th in the 100m and 16th in the 200m in the NCAA.
