ADRIAN, Mich.--The Adrian College American Collegiate Hockey Association Division 1 men's hockey squad pushed its current winning streak to nine games this past weekend with convincing wins of 12-0 and 8-1 over Eastern Michigan University. The Bulldogs' record is now 23-1, with their only loss coming at Stony Brook back on Nov. 18.

The series began on Thursday at Arrington Ice Arena on Fraternity Night, as the Adrian College fraternities provide a festive atmosphere while competing in a series of competitions for the "Fraternity Cup", which was won by Sigma Alpha Epsilon.

On the ice, the Bulldogs treated the fans to an outstanding offensive show, scoring 12 unanswered goals before the Eagles got on the scoreboard. The Bulldogs took a 2-0 lead into the locker room after the first period, but then exploded for six goals in the second period to put the game away.

Brad Kobryn scored the game's first marker on his way to lead the Bulldogs with a hat trick, while Mark Fratercangeli added the second goal of the first period.

Kobryn scored twice in the second period, followed goals by Joe Costello, Kyle Perkowski, Rainer Glimple and Domenic Moore.

Adrian kept the pressure on in the third, on goals by Jordan Oshowy, and a second of the night by Perkowski, before Chris Donaldson and Marcus Rose ended the Bulldog scoring. Austyn Roudebush earned the win on the night for Adrian, making 12 saves, while holding the Eagles off the scoreboard for two periods before giving way to Michael Barrett, who surrendered the Eagles only goal with 3:24 left in game while making 10 saves.

On Friday, the series moved to The Cube in Ann Arbor and the Bulldogs got off to a fast start again, jumping to a 3-1 first period advantage on goals by Mike Finger, Donaldson and power play goal by Moore before the Eagles countered with a power play goal of their own.

The second period was relatively quiet with Perkowski scoring the only goal of the period to put the Bulldogs up 4-1. But Adrian put the game away with four goals in the third as Cooper McClean, Donaldson and Joe Costello scored twice to make the final score 8-1.

Adrian will be in action again on Thursday, when they host the Calvin Knights at 7:15 p.m. at Arrington Ice Arena in the first of a two game home-and-home series.
