BATTLE CREEK, Mich.--The Adrian College club baseball team was eliminated on Sunday in the semifinals of the Battle Creek Blast but not before racking up 12 runs and 11 hits in an 18-12 loss to the University of Toledo here at Nichols Field. The National Club Baseball Association sanctioned the three-day event.
The Bulldogs fell into too large a hole at the beginning of the contest giving up 9 runs in the first two innings, but the Bulldogs offense did fight back scoring twice in third and four times in the 5th and 6th innings and twice again in the 7th.
Tyler Roushia led the Bulldogs with three hits, including two doubles and a pair of RBI’s, while Tyler Kyro knocked in three runs on a pair of doubles. Andrew Beitel also had three RBI’s for the Bulldogs who finished the opening weekend tournament with a record of 2-2.
The Bulldogs will play their first ever home game on Monday, September 25, at 4 pm when the square off against Grace College in a doubleheader at Nicolay Field.
