Acrobatics and Tumbling Start Season With a Win

ADRIAN, MICH. - The Adrian College acrobatics and tumbling team started the 2018 campaign with a 218.830-140.400 victory at home over West Liberty on Saturday afternoon. 

The Bulldogs scored 8.50/10 and a 9.10/10 in the second and third heats of the compulsory event to gain a 29.70-27.10 advantage.

West Liberty won the Acro event by a score of 24.60-23.25. Adrian outscored the Hilltoppers in the 5 Element heat with a score of 8.30/9.20.

West Liberty edged the Bulldogs in the Pyramid event as well with a score of 24.00. Adrian finished the event with a 23.60 tally while scoring 8.20/9.40 in heat 2 and 8.00/9.40 in heat 3.

The Bulldogs finished the toss event with a score of 22.80 after having a big 450 salto heat with a score of 8.30/9.00. The Hilltoppers finished with a total of 23.00 to earn the decision for the third consecutive event.

Following the tumbling event, West Liberty gained the lead in the event score after a 41.70-38.60 win in tumbling.

Adrian finished the meet with an 80.88/97.19 team event score; the Hilltoppers did not compete in the team event due to limited roster size.

The Bulldogs travel to compete at Glenville State on Tuesday, February 27 at 6:00 p.m., ET.
