2017-18 AC Women's Wrestling Schedule

ADRIAN, Mich.--The Adrian College wrestling coaching staff is excited to introduce the 2017-18 freshman recruiting class for the women's program, which hits the mat for its third season of competition on Saturday at the Emmanuel College Open in Franklin Springs, Ga.

Joining a nucleus of five veterans, the six new recruits include...

Holly Bailor (Luther, Mich./Pine River High School) won the triple crown of folkstyle, freestyle and Greco Roman for Michigan at the USA Wrestling Tournament, was a two-time freestyle champion, a district champion, regional runner-up and state qualifier;

Elizabeth Chagolla from Roy C. Start High School in Toledo, Ohio. She was first-team all-city and academic all-conference and a four-year letterwinner for the Spartans;

Maggie Elliot (Highland, Mich./Lakeland High School) was an Iron Man award winner, AAU Junior Olympic Games girls' wrestling first-place winner and two-year LHS Honor Roll member;

Destiny Hughes was a two-year letterwinner and four-year honor roll member out of Bremen High School in Harvey, Ill.; 

MacKenzie Matta (Finleyville, Pa./Thomas Jefferson High School), a Tricia Saunders High School Excellence Award winner, North East Hall of Fame Recipient, New Jersey state champion, five-time Pennsylvania state champion, Maryland state champion, and a three-time all-American; and

Tygan Nelson (Continental, Ohio) was a four-year letterwinner for Ottawa-Glandorf High School.
