Lady Bulldogs Top Albion 3-1

ALBION, Mich. – The Adrian College women's volleyball team defeated MIAA foe Albion College 3-1 today inside of Kresge Gymnasium. The Lady Bulldogs improves to 7-19 overall and 4-9 in the MIAA. With the loss, Albion drops to 3-23 overall and remain winless in the conference with a 0-14 league record.

With a game-high .391 hitting percentage in set one, Adrian rolled with a 25-19 victory. The Britons made it close in set two, but the Lady Bulldogs continued to fight and won 26-24. Albion stole one in the third (25-14), however Adrian won convincingly 25-12 in set four for the match.

Sophomore Danielle Bogdein had a career-high 14 kills to top all scorers. Following Bogdein was freshman Andrea Phillips and junior Stephanie Holloman who contributed with eight kills each.

Junior Ashley Vernier had a team-high 20 assists. On defense, sophomore Kristi Walker accounted for game-high 16 digs. Following Walker's performance was Vernier and sophomore Emily Ribant with nine each.

Adrian returns home for its next match as it hosts Saint Mary's (Ind.) on Wednesday (Oct. 26) at 7:00 p.m. inside of Merillat Gymnasium.
