Women's Tennis Falls in Battle of Bulldogs

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Adrian College women's team lost to DeSales University on Monday, March 4 to open its spring season.

DeSales won all three of the doubles matches to take a 3-0 lead into singles play. Adrian picked up its points at one and six singles, with junior Samantha Cyrus getting the job done in the top flight. Cyrus won the one singles match 6-2, 6-2.

AC's other win was a hard-fought win for fellow junior Julia Maltbie. She took the first set 6-1 before dropping the second set 4-6, leading to a ten-point tiebreaker, which she won 11-9 to take the match.

Adrian is back in action this evening when the Bulldogs take on RPI.
