GOSHEN, Ind. - The fall season has concluded for the women's tennis and they are 4-0 which sets a new school record after a 5-4 win at Goshen College on Friday. The ladies were down 2-1 after doubles play as head coach Adam Albertsen changed up the lineup for the usual tandems at three doubles. Justine Hanson and Haley Freilino fought hard before losing 8-6. Kelsi Black and Arielle Williams got the team point for the Bulldogs at one doubles with an 8-4 decision.

Hannah Zilka got the team back to even at 2-2 at six singles with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Joelle Friesen. Hanson picked up a win at five singles in straight sets (6-4, 6-2) over Maria Thomas. Morgan Spencer got the team's fourth point at four singles with a 6-2, 7-5 win Makayla Adamski. Black closed out the match at one singles with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Anika Baumgartner.

"I am really proud of how the ladies closed out the fall season with the win," said Albertsen. "We fell behind in doubles but showed a lot of fight by coming back and taking four of the six singles points for the win. The fall allowed us to learn a lot about our young team and what we need to work on. Hopefully the girls can take this momentum into the spring season and build on the great start."
