COLUMBUS, Ohio - The women's tennis team improved to 2-0 this fall with a 9-0 win over Capital University on Sunday. The team has not dropped a point in two dual matches thus far. The team had two very convincing wins in doubles and the close match came at two doubles as Morgan Spencer and Kylee Bezeau closed out the third point with an 8-6 win.
All six singles matches saw the Bulldogs take every set highlighted by straight set dominance by Kelsi Black at one singles (6-0, 6-0) and Arielle Williams at two singles (6-0, 6-0). Spencer cruised to a 6-2, 6-1 win at four singles and Justine Hanson won 6-0, 6-2 at five singles.
"I've been impressed with our doubles through two matches and today our singles play was very strong," said head coach Adam Albertsen. "For our first road match of the fall, I think we handled everything well and just went out and concentrated on the task at hand."
The next match for the team will be Friday, Sept. 20 as they host Indiana Tech.
