Neal and Van't Land Named to All-MIAA Teams

FREELAND, MICH. -- Adrian College softball seniors Rebecca Neal (Waterford Twp., Mich.) and Taylor Van't Land (Clarksville, Mich.) were named to the second team All-MIAA as announced by the league office on Wednesday, May 2, 2018.

Neal finished the season as the Bulldog's leading pitcher. She totaled 121.1 innings pitched, 64 strikeouts, 3.69 K/7, and a 3.63 ERA. Her innings pitched finished fourth in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA), her K/7 mark and her ERA were 11th in the league.

Van't Land finished the season as one of the leading hitters on the team. Her hits (21) were fifth, she tied for the third-most doubles (4), tied for the most triples (2), and was fourth in RBIs (14).

The Bulldogs finished the season just two wins shy of clinching a berth in the MIAA tournament with an 8-8 conference record, improving three wins over last season's league record.
