Bulldogs Defeat Washington & Jefferson 19-5

Final Stats

WASHINGTON, Pa. - The Adrian College women's lacrosse team defeated Washington & Jefferson by the final score of 19-5 on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs are now 5-2 overall.

Adrian got out to an 8-2 lead at halftime. The Bulldogs were able to score the first four goals of the game to take control of the action. Stacey Birlson and Andrea Soloko each scored two goals in the opening half. Amanda Lambert did her part by scoring one goal and recording three assists in the first 30 minutes of play. Rachel Johnston, Heather Newblom and Lindsey Day rounded out the scoring for AC.

The Bulldogs controlled the second half of action as well. Birlson scored four goals in the second half including the first goal at the 24:57 mark, and back-to-back goals with nearly five minutes remaining in the game. Johnston added cushion to the lead with three goals in the second. Laura Finfrock got the win as the AC goalkeeper. Finfrock made five saves.
