ADRIAN, Mich. – The women's lacrosse team (14-2, 6-0) won the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association regular-season title by beating Albion (6-8, 2-4), 20-5, Saturday afternoon.
The Bulldogs scored their first 10 goals about a dozen minutes into the game before they switched gears to cruise. Adrian led 14-0 at the half.
The Bulldogs bested the Brits in shots (28-9), groundballs (23-16), and were a perfect 12-for-12 in clears.
Olivia Duncan was almost in on half of the entire Adrian offensive production with five goals and nine points.
Maddie McDonald had four saves on the afternoon.
The Bulldogs will host the first round of the MIAA tournament next Thursday, May 2nd against the same team they faced today, Albion College.
Albion won the tie-breaker for the fourth and final playoff seed after finishing with identical 2-4 MIAA records with Calvin College and Trine University.
The game is slated for a 7 p.m. start.
The semifinal winners will play for the MIAA tournament title on Saturday, May 4th.
