Bulldogs Bite Worcester State, 18-6

WORCESTER, Mass. – The women's lacrosse team (8-2) handed Worcester State (4-1) their first loss of the season with an 18-6 win Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs took a 3-0 lead and never looked back as they produced back-to-back road wins.

Adrian outshot Worcester, 32-10, with Olivia Duncan leading the way with nine shots on net. Her six goals also led the team as she finished with nine points on the afternoon.

The Bulldogs dominated in almost every facet of the game, including a 21-5 draw control advantage and a 16-11 groundball edge.

Hannah Early led the team in groundballs with four, while Maddie McDonald had four saves in the cage.

Not far behind Duncan in point production was Stacey Birlson, who finished with eight points including two free-position goals and six assists.

Maddie Dugan, Heather Newblom, and Early accounted for the team's other 10 goals. Dugan netted four, while Newblom and Early had three apiece.

Adrian's next game will be a home conference matchup against Calvin on April 6th at 1 p.m.
