ALBION, Mich. – One day after a triple overtime loss to Fredonia State, there was no rest for the weary as the Adrian College women's lacrosse team traveled to Albion College for the first of two games on Sunday. Adrian had plenty in the tank as they made quick work of Albion to the tune of 25-1.
In total 16 different Bulldogs scored a goal and cruised to the lopsided victory improving to 6-2 overall. The Bulldogs led 15-0 at halftime and then left off the gas a little in the second half scoring 10 times. The Bulldogs scored seven times in the first 8:29 of the game. Albion's lone goal came at 21:26 of the second half.
Maddie Dugan led the team with three goals on three shots on goal. Olivia Duncan, Rachel Johnston, Kate Ravenhall, Amanda Lambert, Laura VonderHaar, Lindsey Day and Meghan Gerrie each scored two goals. Elizabeth Szymanski, Meghan Reynolds, Heather Newblom, Anne Hersman, Hannah Early, Laurel Van't Hof, Riley Weidle and Cassie Hoyez all scored one goal for the Bulldogs.
Stacey Birlson led the team with four assists. Johnston added three assists for a total of five points. Hoyez also added three assists and won four draw controls. Laura Finfrock played the first half and made one save. Jul Tehovnik played the second half and also made one save.
