ADRIAN, Mich. – The women's hockey team (5-2, 3-2) peppered 60 shots against Finlandia (0-5, 0-5) on their way to a 13-1 win, Friday night at Arrington Ice Arena in NCHA action.
Sixteen different players figured in Adrian's scoring and six players scored their first goal of the young season.
After taking a 2-0 lead after the first period, the Bulldogs exploded for 10 goals in the second period before adding one more in the third.
Danielle Smith, Nichole Laflamme and Millar recorded a pair of goals each. Single tallies came from Sarah Connelly, Hannah McGowan, Kaitlyn Ryan, Devyn Fitzhenry, Abby Kibler, Lauren Zachwieja, and Harm, with the latter five and Laflamme getting their first goals of the season.
Eight different Bulldogs registered multiple-point games that included: Millar (2-2-4), Harm (1-3-4), Laflamme (2-1-3), Smith (2-0-2), Zachwieja (1-1-2), Kibler (1-1-2), Kristin Maton (0-2-2), and Emily Marks (0-2-2).
Bulldog goaltender Allie Carter made 10 saves in her first collegiate start for the win.
Maton led the team with a plus-6, while Smith's second goal was on the power play and Kibler's goal was short-handed.
These same two teams will be back tomorrow afternoon with a 2 p.m. start at the Arrington Ice Arena.
