Women's Golf Rebounds Nicely on Final Day at College of Wooster Spring Invitational

JEROMESVILLE, Ohio--The Adrian College women's golf team fired a season's best 342 over the final 18 holes to finish up two spots to eighth place at the 14-team College of Wooster Spring Invitational that concluded at the Mohican Hills Golf Club on Sunday. The Bulldogs shot a 365 to total 707 on the weekend.

Sophomore transfer Hailey Scott (85+81) and junior Brooke Symons (90+76) led the way for Adrian with identical 166 scores for an eighth-place tie overall out of 96 individuals. Freshman Lauren Yankee (91+89=180, T-39th), sophomore Hannah McKee (99+97=196, 69th) and freshman Alexis Weston (101+96=197, T-70th) round out the lineup for the 'Dawgs.

Adrian's 342 this afternoon is the squad's best for a round since firing a 341 at the MIAA Fall Championships on Oct. 7, 2016, a span of 48 rounds.

Denison University won the team title with a 328+320=648 and the Big Red's Emmy Timberlake was the medalist with a 78+74=152.

The Bulldogs host their own Adrian College Spring Invitational at the Lenawee Country Club, located 4110 Country Club Rd in Adrian, at 1 p.m. Thursday.
