Women's Golf in Sixth Place After the First Round of MIAA Fall Championships

BATTLE CREEK, Mich.--After shooting a 350 on Friday, the Adrian College women's golf team sits in sixth place after the opening round of the 2017 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Fall Championships held at the Bedford Valley Golf Course. The final 18 holes are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday.

Sophomore Brooke Symons paced Adrian with an 80 for a seventh-place tie overall, just five strokes off the lead. She was followed by seniors Elizabeth Barrett (86, T-18th), Sierra Woodcum (90, T-26th), Alysa Graf (94, T-38th), and junior Ashley Morris (109, 46th).

St. Mary's College leads the team field with a 314, and the Belles' Taylor and Hunter Kehoe top the leaderboard after 18 holes with an identical 75.
