Women's Golf Finishes Eighth in First MIAA Jamboree for 2017-18

MARSHALL, Mich.--The Adrian College had a team score of 386 to finish in eighth place at the first Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Jamboree of the 2017-18 on Friday. The MIAA's initial installment was held at The Medalist Golf Club, hosted by Olivet College, and played under hot, humid conditions.

Sophomore Brooke Symons paced the Bulldogs with an 86 (11th), followed by senior Elizabeth Barrett (98, T-35th), junior Ashley Morris (99, 37th), freshmen Hannah McKee (103, 43rd) and Lexie Bordeau (112, T-47th), plus Amanda Jors (106, 44th) played as an individual.

St. Mary's College from Indiana took home the team title with a 328, and Hope College's Megan Klintworth was the medalist with a 76. There were 50 golfers at the Jamboree.

Adrian has a quick turnaround to compete Saturday (1 p.m.) in the MIAA Jamboree #2 hosted by Trine University at the Zollner Golf Club in Angola, Ind.
