ADRIAN, Mich.--Despite holding one of the best shooting teams in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association relatively in check and climbing back from a 15-point deficit, Adrian's spirited fourth quarter comeback bid fell shy to visiting Albion, 77-70, in women's basketball action on Monday.

= There were four ties and four lead changes in the contest, with Albion staying in front for good late in the first quarter (16-14).

= The Britons built as much as a 17-point lead in the third quarter (62-45 at 37 seconds left) and led by double-digits as late as 3 minutes remaining in the contest.

= But after falling behind 75-63, Adrian made a gutsy comeback attempt to get within seven points twice. Senior Emily Sommerville (5 points) had a layup and Morris completed a three-point play to make it 75-68 with 2:00 left in the fourth. Morris also drained a trey after the Britons were up 74-60.

= Albion darted out to a 6-0 lead, but Adrian tied it 6-6 on an Aliva Kondrath 3ball and Morris traditional three-point play with a layup and free throw.

= Morris gave the Bulldogs their first lead 10-9 with a pair of free throws and converted a layup for their last 14-11 at 5 minutes and 3 seconds remaining in the opening stanza. The Britons eventually led 25-17 after 10 minutes.

= Albion led 44-31 at halftime, but was outscored 39-33 in the second half.
