= Classmate Sadia Johnson added 13 points and six rebounds.

= Freshman Angelina Goosby registered her first career double-double with 12 points and a game-high 14 rebounds. She also had three steals.

= Sophomore Ashley Morris made 10 points and had six rebounds.

= Junior Starnisha Harris contributed to the team's balanced offense with nine points off the bench, plus a career-best seven assists to top all playmakers.

THE OPPOSITION
= Emily Bernas and Oreyana Curry shared team-high scoring honors with 18 points each.

Erin Nelson and Curry grabbed seven rebounds apiece.

HOW IT HAPPENED
= Albion attacked the basket by outscoring Adrian 44-26 inside the paint.

= The Britons led 19-14 after the first quarter and 33-32 at halftime. Every time Albion opened up a two-possession lead, Adrian had an answer--including a 9-4 run down the stretch going into the locker room.

= A Garvey trey from the corner gave Adrian its last lead of the contest at 38-35 with 8 minutes and 57 seconds remaining in the third quarter.

= Olivia Savage (8 points) countered with a 3ball of her own down the floor the other way, tying it 38-all.

= The Britons made their first five field goal attempts--including Savage's three-pointer, plus a pair of Curry free throws--of the third, taking a 47-42 advantage with 6:26 to go. Curry also had a lay-in during that stretch to put the Britons in the lead for good, 40-38.

= But the Bulldogs stayed within striking distance and trailed only 57-50 going into the fourth.

= Albion built as much as a 12-point cushion before Adrian eventually got within 71-66 after a traditional three-point play by Morris at the 2:07 mark.

= Morris made two more free throws to make it 73-68 with 81 seconds remaining, but the Bulldogs couldn't get any closer.

= Adrian stayed close the entire game by making the most of 13 Albion turnovers, scoring 21 points off those miscues. The Bulldogs also made 16 of 21 free throws for 76.2 percent--which is six points better than their season clip.

= The Bulldogs had the edge in rebounding, 47-39.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
= The Bulldogs have lost back-to-back home games for the first time this season.

= Despite losing to the Britons for the ninth time in the last 13 meetings, the Bulldogs still lead the all-time series, 57-41.

= One of the best NCAA Division III teams in protecting the ball, Adrian committed an uncharacteristic 22 turnovers to lessen its possessions. Albion was unable to take advantage--scoring just six points off those turnovers.

UP NEXT
= Adrian will try to regroup to snap a two-game losing streak on Saturday when they travel to Angola, Ind., to take on Trine University in another MIAA match-up.
