KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The women's basketball team picked up their 10th win of the season on Saturday afternoon with a 77-70 victory at Kalamazoo College. The offense was the story with a season-high 77 points breaking their previous season high of 69 points set last Sunday against Finlandia.
LaQwana Dockery led Adrian off the bench with 17 points. She went 5-of-6 from the floor and scored 12 of her 17 points in the first half. Dockery finished 6-of-8 from the floor and 5-of-8 at the free throw line. Senneca Scott followed with 12 points and seven rebounds. Scott shot 6-of-9 from the floor and also blocked a pair of shots.
Lauren Rhoads chipped in 11 points and two assists in 29 minutes. Katie Ross scored 10 points and made two triples on the day. She also had three boards and three assists in 31 minutes. Adrian shot 27-of-51 from the floor for the game and were 19-of-25 from the charity stripe.
Kalamazoo shot 36.4 percent for the game and were 6-of-18 from behind the arc. Nicole Antoine led all scorers with 18 points for the Hornets. She made all eight of her free throws and collected three steals. Adrian led 35-31 at halftime and led by as many as eight points early in the second half. The Bulldogs dominated in the paint with a 36-18 edge.
