Curley Picks up Final Defensive Player of the Week Award of the Regular Season

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Adrian College men's volleyball junior Kevin Curley was named the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League's (MCVL) Defensive Player of the Week for the final week of play in the regular season.

Curley ends the regular season with the most digs in NCAA Division III, finishing with 373 on the year. He picked up 21 of those in the last two matches of the season in seven sets for a total of three digs per set. His season average was 3.33 digs per set, putting him fourth in D3 and tops in the MCVL. Curley set a program record for digs in a match when recorded 29 in AC's five-set win over Augustana (Ill.)

This is Curley's second Player of the Week award this year, joining senior Mike Gold as the only Bulldogs to earn the recognition twice in one season. It's Adrian's fifth total selection, as senior Michael Burkhardt was named the Offensive Player of the Week back in February.
