Men's Soccer Faces Setback Against Case Western Reserve

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Adrian College men's soccer team lost to Case Western Reserve University by a score of 8-1 on Saturday, Sep. 22.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Case Western Reserve scored two goals in 21 seconds to take a 2-0 lead 19 minutes into the first half. The Bulldogs answered in the 27th minute when senior Tad Davis cut the deficit in half after finding the ball in the middle of the box.

The second half was all Spartans, as CWRU scored five goals in the first 12 minutes of the half. The Spartans would tack on one more in the 76th minute before the game was over.

TOP DOGS

• Davis scored the lone goal for the Bulldogs and was one of five players to take a shot for the Black and Gold.

THE OPPOSITION

• Alex Besl scored a hat-trick for the Spartans

• Marques Manta added a goal and two assists for CWRU.

UP NEXT

The Bulldogs return home to host Ohio Northern on Wednesday, Sep. 26 in their final non-conference match before MIAA play begins.
