FREELAND, Mich. - Adrian College senior defenseman Sean Cain was tabbed as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week by the league office for the first time in his Bulldog career.
The Northville, Michigan native scored his first goal of the season to help Adrian achieve a 3-2 win on the road at Hope. He then helped anchor the Bulldog defense in a 3-1 win at Olivet in which the Comets were limited to less than 10 shots for the duration of the game.
This is second MIAA defensive player of the week award that the Adrian College men's soccer team has earned this season (Justin Tobin got the team's first nod in September).
The Bulldogs have two home games this week, the first coming on Wednesday against Kalamazoo at 7:00 p.m., ET.
