Olivet, Mich. – The Adrian College men's lacrosse team opened the season with a 6-5 victory over visiting Kean University (0-1) on Saturday evening after the game had to be rescheduled at an alternate location. It was the season opener for both clubs.
In a strange day of events, the Cougars and Bulldogs had to move their matchup from Adrian College to Olivet College (a distance of 80 miles) after local authorities asked that the field be cleared prior to the game as a precaution because of an incident happening in a residence close to the stadium.
Due to the circumstances and the snowy weather, there was limited statistical information provided postgame for the game's recap.
Adrian (1-0) would rally late, and scored the final three goals of the matchup, including the game-winner in the final five minutes to walk away with the win after trailing for much of the contest.
The Bulldogs will play next at home on March 2nd against Aurora at 7 p.m.
