USCHO.com Poll (Oct. 29, 2018)

MINNEAPOLIS--After an impressive opening weekend sweep at then-No. 6/7 Utica College, the Adrian College men's hockey team climbed to No. 2 in the latest United States College Hockey Online (USCHO.com) poll, released on Monday. The Bulldogs received four first-place votes among 281 points after defeating the Pioneers 3-1 on Friday and 3-2 Saturday.

In addition, Adrian is also ranked second in the new Bloomington, Minn.-based D3hockey.com poll. It gained 277 points including two first-place votes.

Junior forward Dino Balsamo led the Bulldogs with four points on a goal and three assists, followed by freshmen left wing Jared Domin (2g, 1a) and right wing Austin Bottrell (1g, 2a) with three points apiece. Senior goalie Kevin Entmaa sticked aside 47 of 50 shots faced for a 1.50 goals-against average and .943 save percentage.

The USCHO.com poll is compiled weekly and consists of 20 voters, including coaches and hockey writers from across the country. Top-ranked St. Norbert's lead in the national rankings shrunk from 40 to 15 points from the previous week, as the Green Knights earned 296 points (16 first-place votes). Adrian has appeared in the USCHO top-15 for 192 consecutive weeks. SNC also is No. 1 by D3hockey.com with 298 points (18 first-place votes).

Adrian will have its home openers in Arrington Ice Arena next weekend against Northern Collegiate Hockey Association foes Lawrence (Friday at 7:05 p.m.) and Marian-Wis. (Saturday at 3:05 p.m.). For tickets, click on the link
