BLOOMINGTON, Minn.--For the first time this season and the sixth of his career, Adrian College junior defenseman Cory Dunn (Trenton, Mich./Austin Bruins, North American Hockey League) has been named to the D3hockey.com Team of the Week. The website made the announcement early Wednesday morning of the six winners nationwide.

A two-year All-American, Dunn led Adrian defensemen with four points--all assists--during the No. 1/2 Bulldogs' 1-1 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association road trip at Finlandia (10-1 win) and No. 2/1-ranked St. Norbert (4-3 overtime loss). The finance major leads NCAA Division III blueliners with 1.75 assists per game.

For his career, Dunn has scored 15 goals and 59 assists for 74 total points in 62 games. He lists fourth on the team's all-time point-scoring list among defensemen after passing former Bulldogs captain and current ECHL Cincinnati Cyclones professional Chris Leone over the weekend. Leone had 24+47=71 totals in 109 games from 2012-16.

Adrian will have a home-and-home series against NCAA newcomer and NCHA opponent Trine this weekend. First, the teams will meet at 7 p.m. Friday in Angola, Ind. Then they shift back to Adrian's Arrington Ice Arena for a 7:05 p.m. Saturday puckdrop. Get your tickets in advance and online: http://www.adrianbulldogs.com/links/zk0vqb
