Adrian Begins Season Ranked 10th in Division III by USCHO.com

The hockey season begins on Nov. 5 for the men's varsity squad and they will be ranked 10th in Division III when the puck drops. Adrian finished 10th in the final USCHO.com poll in 2009-10 and will be put to the test right away against a talented Marian team.

"The national poll usually reflects the last poll from the previous year, and the defending champions Norwich should be first," said head coach Ron Fogarty. "We play Marian on November 5, and that is all that matters. Our mindset is to control the situations involved with the game, by playing smart, skilled hockey and executing the game plan. Hopefully when USCHO releases it first poll in 2011, we are number 1."

Adrian went 24-4 a year ago and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time where they lost 4-3 in the first round at St. Norbert. The Bulldogs are three-time defending MCHA champions and have won 55 straight conference games entering the season.
