Harris Cup Field Set
ADRIAN, Mich. - The 2011 Harris Cup Four field is now set as the MCHA's finest compete this weekend (Mar. 5-6) for the right to represent the conference as an automatic bid in the NCAA Division III Tournament.
#1 seed Adrian (21-3-1) will play on Saturday, Mar. 5 at 2:00 PM against the #4 seed Lawrence (14-12-1) in the first semifinal. The nightcap will feature #2 seed Marian (18-7) versus the #3 seed MSOE (21-5-1) with the puck dropping at 6:00 PM. All games will be played at Arrington Ice Arena on the campus of Adrian College for the third straight season. Adrian earned the number one seed by capturing its fourth straight regular season crown and winning the South Division. Marian earned the number two seed by winning the North Division despite MSOE having more points in the standings because the Raiders finished second behind Adrian in the South Division.
The Bulldogs had a pair of nail-biters earlier this season against the Vikings in Appleton, Wisconsin on Jan. 21-22. Adrian won 4-3 and 3-1 in those contests. The Bulldogs are 9-0 against Lawrence all-time and defeated the Vikings, 3-2, in the Harris Cup semifinals last season.
