Unbeaten Bulldogs Tame Bobcats

ADRIAN, Mich. - Last night your Bulldogs grabbed their fourth straight victory in convincing fashion over the Bobcats of Ohio University. Adrian's Mikhail Murashov started things off with a power play goal just 4:39 into the contest. Taking advantage of another Bobcat penalty, Zack Paulakovich scored yet another power play goal, allowing the 'Dogs to take a 2-0 lead heading into the locker room.

The previously undefeated Bobcats showed some life getting on the board early in the second period, making it a 2-1 game. However the Bulldogs would continue to capitalize on Bobcat penalties as Cole Rochowiak and Joe Van Geison each found the back of the net for two more power play goals. Still fighting for the win, Ohio University scored with 5:31 left in the second to pull within two. Stealing the momentum back for the black and gold was Bryan Pike sniping one top self on a breakaway with just 12 seconds left in the period.

The third belonged to the 'Dogs as they popped in three unanswered goals. Goals scored by Bryan Pike and Mikhail Murshov, who both finished with two goals on the night, and getting his second goal of the season was Enrico Marson who lit the lamp with a laser of a slap shot. The 'Cats would answer with a final goal of their own, however only to fall short by a final score of 8-3.

Between the pipes was freshman, Mitch Laflame. Laflame picked up his second career win, facing 22 shots and allowing just three goals. With this victory the ACHA Black team moves to a perfect 4-0, and looks to continue their streak next weekend against the Titans of Detroit Mercy.
