BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The ACHA Division III Gold team traveled to BGSU Friday night to finish a home-and-home series that began before Christmas break. The Bulldogs needed very little time to shake off the cobwebs after almost a month without a game as Mitch Baker's slapshot from outside the blue line beat the BG goalie to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead.
Bowling Green came right back and tied the game up only two minutes later. The two teams battled back and forth but no one was able to score again in the first period. When the second period got going neither team was able to find the back of the net until about halfway through the period. After Bowling Green scored to go up 2-1, Adrian wasted little time getting goals from Nick Hurite and Steven Smith to put the score at 3-2 Adrian at the end of forty minutes of play.
The third period was all Bulldogs as two unanswered goals to start the period before the Falcons could net another goal provided to be the decisive goals. Anthony Rossi and Mitch Baker scored in the third and Kyle Powell added one later on to finish off the Falcons. The Bulldogs completed a sweep of the Falcons winning 5-3 at home and 6-3 on the road.
