Mens Golf Finishes Fourth in First MIAA Jamboree
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - - The Adrian College men's golf team finished fourth with a team score of 305 in the first MIAA Jamboree of the season. The team was two strokes out of third place behind Hope while Olivet took the early conference lead with a first-place score of 289.
Adrian College was led by freshman Tyler Manning who tied for
eighth with a score of 73 (+2). Manning shot 37 on the front nine
and 36 on the back side. Fellow freshman Sterling Emery was next on
the board finishing 10th with a score of 74. Emery had a
36 on the front nine and followed that with a 38.
Senior David Sreiberg struggled after winning last weekend and
came out with a 41 on the front side. He rallied with a 38 on the
back nine and finished tied for 26th with a score of 79.
Senior Jordan Kelly also had a 79 but it was a contrast as he shot
35 and 44.
Freshman Zach Davenport did not factor into the team score
with an 80 as did freshman Brad Haley who competed as an individual
with a score of 81.
