Jared Edwards Named MIAA Offensive Player of the Week

Junior running back Jared Edwards (Bellbrook, Ohio) has been named MIAA Offensive Player of the Week after a career day against Defiance.

Edwards rushed for a career-high 208 yards on 25 carries in leading Adrian to a 40-14 victory over the Yellow Jackets for the seventh time in the last eight meetings. He is the first Bulldog since Troy Niblock against Kalamazoo in 2008 to rush for over 200 yards in a game. He opened the scoring for the Bulldogs with a 17-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and rushed for 143 yards in the first half. Edwards is being honored as Player of the Week for the second time in his career.
