ADDISON, Ill.--Junior Dylin Hunter had a strong top-20 showing while the Adrian College men's bowling squad came in 38th place out of 63 teams at the 2017 Kegel/ISBPA Midwest Collegiate Classic held over the weekend here at Stardust Lanes. It is a United States Bowling Congress-sanctioned Tier I event.
On a tough pattern, Adrian fought through and knocked down 7,897 pins. Last year, the Bulldogs had 7,546 total pins and placed 50th.
Like his teammates, Hunter also saw improvement at this high-caliber tournament--leading Adrian with 1,035 for five games. He finished 14th out of 482 bowlers. Last year, he was 153rd out of 435 individuals with 897 pins.
The Bulldogs look to regroup at the American-Heartland Intercollegiate Bowling Conference Tournament Nos. 3 and 4 on Saturday and Sunday in Westland (Bowl), Mich. Competition is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. both days.
