Bulldogs Improve A Spot in Second American-Heartland Intercollegiate Bowling Conference Tournament Event

COLUMBUS, Ohio--Adrian College closed out October with a one-spot improvement in the second American-Heartland Intercollegiate Bowling Conference Tournament. After finishing 14th the day before, the Bulldogs shot a 6,550 pin total for 13th in the 27-team event on Sunday.

The team was led again by freshman Justin Friedel with a 29th-place showing, averaging 202 for four games totaling 808 pins. Also finishing in the top 45 was junior Dylin Hunter, who improved from 44th to 41st in a span of 24 hours, with a 777 total, or 194.25 average.

There were a total of 243 men that bowled in the second conference tournament of the season.

Adrian second-year head coach John Essenmacher III said: "There was more improvement on the men's team. Overall the weekend went better as we progressed. We are very young this year and will keep on getting better. We have had some freshmen step up this weekend, and we will see more improvement once they get more knowledge of how the lanes breakdown throughout each tournament."

Division II College of Notre Dame in Ohio won the AHIBC#2 with 7,441 total pins.
