Gerrod Abram enters his eighth season as an assistant basketball coach at Adrian College.

Coach Abram has helped lead an improved men's basketball program, posting 89 wins since his arrival with head coach Mark White. The team has improved upon its' previous record each of the past two years.

The 2015-16 squad finished one game back from the fourth spot in the final MIAA standings, a three place improvement over the 2014-15 Adrian team. The 2015-16 campaign also saw the team start 5-0 for the first time since the team started 11-0 in the 2012-13 season.

Abram is instrumental in the development of the perimeter players and assisting in scouting, as well as recruiting.

Prior to joining the Adrian College staff, Abram played professionally in Croatia, Greece, Israel, Italy, the Philippines and Spain from 1994-2006. He also played for the Harlem Globetrotters in 2001 and in the ABA for the Detroit Panthers in 2006-07.

Abram was an assistant coach on Detroit Renaissance High School's 2006 State Class B Championship team. Abram was also an assistant coach at Detroit Southeastern High School in 2009 for a team that was a Public School finalist, District champion and Regional finalist.

Abram earned his bachelor's degree in communications from Boston College in 1994. A River Rouge, Michigan native, Abram was a four-year letter winner with the Eagles and played on the team that reached the Elite Eight in the NCAA Tournament in 1994.
