ADRIAN, Mich. - Senior outfielder Alex Cowart (Dearborn, Mich./Edsel Ford HS) added more hardware to his personal trophy case as he was named Second Team All-American by both the ABCA and D3baseball.com for 2010.

Cowart is the first player in school history to repeat as All-American having received First Team All-American honors by the ABCA in 2009 and Second Team All-American mention by D3baseball.com.

There is truly only a select few categories where he does not lead in the career record book at Adrian College. Cowart is the all-time leader in batting average (.420), hits (235), RBI (156), doubles (55), total bases (375), stolen bases (57), runs (164) and triples (14). In addition, he ranks second all-time in at-bats (560), slugging percentage (.670), home runs (19) and on-base percentage (.494). He was the Michigan Intercollegiate batting champion (.500) this season and has won the MIAA batting title the last three seasons.

He also holds MIAA career records for batting average (.456), hits (149), doubles (39), home runs (14), RBI's (106) and total bases (248). This season, Cowart set single season records for batting average (.500), runs (36) and on-base percentage (.554).
