Five Players Listed as "Players to Watch" for 2011 in Collegiate Baseball Newspaper

ADRIAN, Mich. - Collegiate Baseball Newspaper revealed its 2011 NCAA Division III "Players to Watch" List in January's edition and five Bulldogs were mentioned heading into the upcoming season.

Senior left-handed pitcher Ryan Domschot, senior right-handed pitcher David Partyka, senior first baseman Jake Cappelletty, senior third baseman Brian Bilius and senior outfielder Nate Sarkissian will provide Adrian with a strong nucleus as they attempt to three-peat as MIAA champions in 2011.

Domschot has posted a 19-7 career record in 25 career starts for the Bulldogs. He went 6-2 last year with a 3.04 ERA in 68 innings and struck out 72 batters.

Partyka emerged as a strong arm last year with an 8-1 record in his first season with the varsity team. He threw 56.2 innings and posted a 3.49 ERA in 10 appearances. He had four complete games and three shutouts with 24 strikeouts.

Cappelletty has a sweet swing for the left side and has played in 122 career games while batting .314 in 398 at-bats. He had his best season a year ago hitting .364 with 52 hits in 143 at-bats. He also had a pair of home runs and 36 runs batted in.

Bilius has been a three-year starter at the hot corner and has a career .353 batting average in 122 games. He has scored 106 runs and driven in 86 during his time at Adrian.

Sarkissian played and started in all 43 games a year ago as Adrian advanced to the NCAA Regionals. He batted .317 with 46 hits in 145 at-bats. Sarkissian scored 46 runs and collected nine doubles and six home runs while driving in 36. For his career, he has a .349 batting average with 126 hits in 361 at-bats.
