Derek Stoll Named MIAA Most Valuable Field Performer

ROYAL OAK, Mich. - Sophomore thrower Derek Stoll (Monroe, Mich./Monroe HS) was named MIAA Most Valuable Field Performer on Tuesday as announced by the conference office.
Stoll made a huge impact in the Bulldogs finishing third in the conference standings based on results from the MIAA Jamboree and MIAA Field Day. In the MIAA Field Day, Stoll scored 19 of his team's 99 points accounting for 19 percent of the team total. Stoll was Adrian's lone individual champion winning the shot put with a throw of 15.17 meters. He also finished fourth in the hammer throw (44.29 meters) and fifth in the discus (40.65 meters).
He also fared even better in the MIAA Jamboree on April 17. He won the hammer throw with a toss of 46.11 meters and also set a meet record. He also was second in the shot put (14.62 meters) and third in the discus (41.33 meters).
