Six Bulldog Track and Field Athletes Set to Compete at NCAA Division III Outdoor Track Championship Event

INDIANAPOLIS -- The NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Track and Field Championship Committee announced the participants for the 2018 NCAA DIII Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Six Adrian Bulldogs were listed among the participants that will compete at Veteran's Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse, Wisconsin on May 24-26.

Jordan Davis returns to the national meet in three events after competing in only the 110m hurdles in 2017. He is seeded 9th in the hurdles with a time of 14.42, 12th in the high jump (2.08m), and 4th in the 4x100 meter relay (41.12) with teammates Donovan Ervin, Marcus Higginbottom, and Randy Fry. The final men's qualifier was Nicholas Jackson. He is seeded 11th in the high jump with a 2.08m mark.

Britney Carnagie is the lone women's track and field qualifier for Adrian. She shattered a 20-year old school record in the javelin this season with a throw of 42.31m. The mark has her sitting 16th in the national meet.

The NCAA qualified the top 20 in each of the men's individual events and the top 16 relay teams (one from each institution); for the women, the top 22 qualified for each individual event.

This is the most Bulldog qualifiers for the NCAA DIII Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships in one season in over five years.
