Track and Field Compete in Hillsdale Tune Up Before Heading to MIAA Indoor Championships Next Week

HILLSDALE, Mich. – The Adrian College track and field team competed at the Hillsdale Tune-Up this weekend in preparation for the conference meet next weekend.

Randy Fry finished first in the men's 200m dash with a season best time 23.01 seconds. Nicholas Sheridan set a career best time in the mile run, finishing second with a time of 4:43.03.

The men had two additional top five finishers in Scott Campbell in the high jump (2nd place 1.91m) and Jordan Simon in shot put (5th place 14.17m).

The women had three athletes earn career best times, one of the marks was a new school record.

Takiyah Smith improved her school record time in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.27.

Torrey Christopher set a career best time in the 3,000m run with a 4th place finish of 11:19.37.

Rachel Dolphin was the final Bulldog to set a career best time in the 60m dash, finishing in 8.10 seconds.

Kallee Reiff finished 1st in her 200m dash finals heat with a 28.38, 0.01 seconds away from tying her personal career best time.

Makaela Spence also had a good finish in the shot put, finishing in 2nd place with a throw of 11.11m.

The Bulldogs travel to Angola, Indiana next Saturday, February 27 to compete in the MIAA Indoor Championship meet. It is scheduled for a 10:00 a.m. start.
