Indoor Track & Field  Starts Season at Trine Conditioner Classic

ANGOLA, Ind. - The Adrian College Track & Field team started their indoor season and finished the day with impressive results. The men and women each walked away with a first place finish in four events.

The team was led by Jacob Mehr as he broke his own school record in the indoor shot put and placed first with a throw of 16.57 meters. Mehr now leads Division III in the indoor shot put. The men also had first places in the 4 x 200 meter relay as Chris Seward, Alexander Pollack, Dane Foster, and Andonian combined for a time 1:37.79. Logan Carey tallied a first place in the long jump (6.85m) and the in the triple jump (12.92m).

The women also came away with four first places as the team won the 60 meter hurdles, 4 x 200 meter relay, high jump, and weight throw. Rachel Dolphin, Natalie Modes, Sarah Luma, and Takiya Smith combined for a time of 1:54.78 to win the 4 x 200 meter relay. Smith also tallied a first in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.68. Luma also placed first in the high jump (1.59 m) and Haley Eubank won the weight throw (13.21 m) for the women.

The team will compete next January 25 at the Defiance College Invitational at 10 a.m.
