Track and Field Returns to Trine

ANGOLA, Ind. - The track and field squads were back at Trine on Friday for the Trine Open #3 hosted by the Thunder's indoor facility.

Nicholas Podulka was the top Bulldog in the 60 meters finishing fourth with a time of 7.38. Podulka fared similarly with a fourth place finish in the 200 meters with a time of 24.50. Chad Allemon won the 400 meters with a time of 52.14. Thomas Windle raced second in the mile run crossing at 4:29.55 behind Albion's Matt Melvin.

Andrew Mangiapane took first place in the 3,000 meters during the second heat with a time of 8:56.58. Ty Calvin placed second in the 60 hurdles while Chris Giarmo placed third. Brad Billings captured first pole vault with a height of 13' 7.25". Podulka carried his running event success into the long jump placing second with a jump of 20' 3.5".

Adrian took 1-2 in the shot put as Jacob Mehr and William Simon tossed 52' 5.5" and 41' 8.75" respectively.

Kristen Langermann narrowly missed out on the 60 meters top spot finishing second just nine one-hundredths of a second behind Albion's Monique Langston. Alicia Fowler placed third in the 400 meters with a time of 1:04.76. Erin Holmberg won the mile run with a time of 5:35.16. Emily Borup and Sarah Luma each had a 5' 1.75" clearance in the high jump.

Langermann placed third in the long jump with a distance of 16' 4.5". Haley Eubank finished third in the shot put with a toss of 35' 0.25".
