Bulldogs make the most out of Dr. Keeler Invitational

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - With school out for summer, Adrian sent a few athletes with Outdoor-Nationals hopes to the Dr. Keeler Invitational hosted by North Central College. The Bulldogs had two second place finishes for the meet, as Sarah Luma got second in the high jump, and Jacob Mehr placed second in the discus.

Luma cleared the bar at 5 feet, 4.25 inches which tied with Jasmine Williams of Washington, but Luma lost on attempts. This was Luma's best leap of the season.

Mehr took a third place finish in the shot put along with his second place finish in the discus. Mehr threw the discus 154 feet, six inches, while launching the shot 52 feet, four inches. Mehr's result in the shot put was his best throw of the season and ranked him second in the MIAA.

Also competing for the Bulldogs were seniors Megan Meier, Kelsea Sellers, and Derek Stoll. Meier placed 6th in the shot put at 42 feet, 3.25 inches. Sellers ran the 100m dash to a fifth place finish at 12.14 seconds. Stoll threw the shot put 51 feet, 11.75 inches.

The Bulldogs have one more meet on the schedule which will be back in Naperville this upcoming weekend. Adrian will compete in the Gregory Invitational, which will take place Thursday and Friday. This will be the final meet before the NCAA Outdoor Nationals which take place at Claremont McKenna College, May 24-26.
