Bulldog Men and Women Compete at Trine Invitational

ANGOLA, Ind. - The Bulldog Men's and Women's Track and Field teams had a number of top performances as they traveled to Trine Friday to compete in the Trine Invitational #2. This was the fourth non-scoring meet that the Bulldogs competed in this season.

On the men's side, junior Aaron Wielfaert had a strong performance, taking third place in the high jump at 6-2.75, then running to a second place finish in the 400 meter dash at 51.21. Teammate Chad Allemon was right behind Wielfaert, running to a fifth place finish in the 400 at 51.96.

Other top placing performances for the men included junior Cyle Rogotzke in the mile run, running to a fourth place finish at 4:40.80. Senior Derek Stoll placed fifth in the weight throw at 50-3.25.

For the women, they received another good meet from senior Kelsea Sellers, who took first in the 60 meter dash at 7.82, and then went on to place second in the 200 meter dash at 26.68.

The Bulldogs also finished first and second in the mile run as junior Alicia Fowler crossed the line in first at 5:20.02 with freshman Megan McPherson right behind her in second at 5:24.26.

The next meet for the Bulldogs will take place at Grand Valley State as the Bulldogs will compete in the GVSU Big meet on Feb. 10-11.
