FINDLAY, Ohio - Both the Bulldog Men's and Women's track teams competed at the Northwest Ohio Invitational Friday night at Findlay, Ohio. There were a number of top performances on both sides during the non-scoring event.
For the women, senior Kelsea Sellers had a big night placing first in the 60M dash with a time of 7.82 seconds. The time was good enough to improve on Sellers already school record in the 60 and gives her the 5th fastest time in the nation. Sellers also ran to a third place finish in the 200M dash with a time of 26.61.
In the mile run, freshman Megan McPherson crossed the line in second at 5:20.94 with junior Alicia Fowler right behind her in third at 5:24.91. Sophomore Kristen Langermann also scored big for the women with a second place finish in the triple jump at 30-06.25.
On the Men's side, there were two third place finishes as freshman Andrew Andonian went 13-01.5 in the pole vault while junior Aaron Wielfaert leaped to 6-04 in the high jump. Junior Chad Allemon crossed the finish line in fourth place in the 400M dash, finishing in 52.22 seconds.
The track teams will return to Findlay on January 27th to compete in the Findlay Classic at 4:00 P.M.
