Tracksters Compete at Findlay Open

Men's Report

The Adrian College Men's track and field team had a promising weekend at the Findlay Indoor Track and Field Classic. Chad Allemon had a great weekend placing 10th in the 400 meter dash. He also helped the 4 X 400 meter relay team place seventh along with Aaron Wielfaert, Ricardo Debney and Alex Cameron.

The distance medley team including Peter Konieczki, Brandon Walters, Ricardo Dabney and Greg Govier performed well capturing second place. Not only did Greg aid his medley team but placed eighth in the 800 meter dash.

Nolan Gillespie placed 10th in the mile run and sophomore Cyle Rogotzke and freshman Brian Shoulders placed seventh and eighth in the 5000 meter run.

In the field events,  Wielfaert placed fifth in the men's high jump along with Derek Stoll placing eighth in the men's shot put. Derek also performed well in the men's weight throw. The pole vaulting crew had a great appearance with Colby Aures and Trent Morris tying for fourth place with a jump of 4.15 meters.

Women's Report

The Adrian's College Women's team also had great outing. Alivia Murphy placed 12th in the 600 meter run and Heather Strong placed sixth in the 5000 meter run with a time of 19:30.56. Holly Payne also ran well placing 12th respectively.

Chelsea Mata, Murphy, Strong, and Angie Souva performed well placing seventh in the women's distance medley event.

The horizontal jumpers did well with freshman Kristen Langerman jumping  4.64 meters to take ninth and Julie Sager took 12th respectively.
